Abstract
Barleria cristata a member of the acanthaceae family is a well-known imperishable shrub set up in India. This factory an important part in Ayurvedic drug and is honored for its numerous natural and medicinal advantages. People constantly use Barleria to help issues like boils, nonentity mouthfuls, asthma, leprosy, coughs, hostility, and toothaches. exploration on colorful factory excerpts has revealed that they include alkaloids, carbohydrates, glycosides, phytosterols, flavonoids , terpenoids, polyphenols, phenolic acid, triterpines aromatic compounds, anthraquinones, and saponins. This review seeks to give a thorough scientific examination of Barleria cristata by looking at its geographical and botanical characteristics as well as its medicinal operations. In traditional drug, this factory helps address respiratory problems similar as asthma, coughs, bronchitis, and tuberculosis. Also, Barleria cristata is respected for its stunning flowers and aids in stabilizing soil and precluding corrosion. Studies have shown that Barleria cristata possesses anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antifungal, anti-hyperglycemic, cardioprotective, hepatoprotective, cytotoxic, This review shows that ethanoclaim uses ,phytochemical review, chemical constituents , pharmacological activity based on Barleria cristata.
