Abstract
Abstract The study explored the experiences of teachers in encouraging parental involvement among conditional cash transfer recipients. This study employed a phenomenological research design to determine the experiences and perceptions of the nine (9) participants. The themes on the experiences of teachers in promoting parental involvement among conditional cash transfer recipients were parents superficial involvement, parents low educational background, and parents dependency. Meanwhile, teacherscoping strategies with the challenges of promoting parental involvement among conditional cash transfer recipients were offering multiple engagement options, tailoring involvement to the childs needs, and establishing parent support groups or circles. Lastly, the themes on the lessons learned from the experiences of the teachers were that parent recipients need guidance, not just reminders; parent recipientsgenuine involvement requires motivation; and collaborative activities work for parent recipients. Teachers experience challenges in persuading active and real parental involvement from conditional cash transfer parent recipients. Interventions or activities that inform and empower these parents are important for them to be actively involved in the education of their children. Moreover, future researchers may explore non-economic barriers and examine gender dynamics, parental attitudes, and policy-level influences that can help refine strategies and interventions. Keywords: Promoting, Parental involvement, Conditional cash Transfer program, Challenges, Coping strategies, Lessons, Parent recipients, Davao City
