Abstract
Abstract This study focuses on the narratives of Home Economic Teachers at Davao City National High School. The major purpose of the study is to record the perceptions of teachers that are significant in their classroom instruction, as well as coping mechanisms of teachers in a blended curriculum, and the insights and lessons drawn from their perceptions. Despite of the changes and challenges they have encountered, teachers continue to educate, motivate, and inspire learners. In capturing evauating the narratives of Home Economics teachers on blended learning, four key themes have emerged. The first is Blended Curriculum as a Challenge. This is followed by Motivational Factors. The third theme is the Adaptability and Optimism of Teachers. Lastly is the Lack of Necessary Equipment and Facilitation. In the second question, which is about the coping mechanisms of Home Economics teachers in adapting to the nee curriculum, there are also four themes that I discovered. These are: Using Creative Means to Engage with Students, Adopting a Student-centered Approach in Instruction, Keeping the Motivation and Interest of Students High, and Collaboration of Teachers and Stakeholders. According to teachers own accounts in the third question, four major themes have turned up: Be Resourceful and Incorporate Technology, Persevere and Be Patient, Collaborate with Co-teachers and Stakeholders, and Learn to Adjust. Further study on teaching-learning strategies of teachers in Home Economics can be explored to improve the subject's visibility. Keywords: Home Economics, Teachers Narratives, Blended Learning
