Abstract
The increasing number of road accidents in urban areas and highways has emphasized the need for an automated accident detection and alert system to ensure timely emergency response. This project explores the application of deep learning techniques for real-time accident detection using CCTV footage. The objective is to develop a system capable of accurately identifying accidents and immediately notifying emergency services to minimize response time and enhance public safety.The system processes real-time video streams by applying frame preprocessing techniques such as background subtraction, optical flow analysis, and frame differencing.
