Abstract
This paper examined the Adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Tools among Generation X or individuals born between 1965-1980. As societies evolve and become more modernized, AI has gained significance in the basic processes of everyday life such as in education and workplaces. However, even with the importance of AI in modern times, not everyone can easily adapt to utilizing this new technology compared to traditional methods of work. The study utilized a non- experimental quantitative comparative design. This study determined the adoption of Generation X towards AI tools, drawing on a sample of 180 respondents that fit the criteria of being born from 1965-1980. A comprehensive survey was conducted to gain knowledge and data on the adoption of this specific population on AI tools based on factors such as age, education, and employment and using six general dimensions, namely: Awareness of AI Tools, Perceived Usefulness, Ease of Use, Barriers to Adoption, Behavioral Intentions to Use AI Tools, and Trust in AI Tools, which provided insights on how Generation X has adopted to the use of these tools in their everyday life. The findings indicate that while awareness of AI tools is relatively high among respondents (M 3.67), other dimensions such as trust (M 3.17) and perceived barriers (M 3.01) remain moderated, thereby constraining full-scale adoption
