ABSTRACTThe Android-based Vehicle Mechanic System is designed to simplify vehicle diagnostics and maintenance through a user-friendly mobile application. This system enables vehicle owners to monitor the health of their vehicle, detect issues early, and get maintenance reminders. The application communicates with the vehicle's on board diagnostic (OBD) system via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi, retrieving critical data such as engine performance, fault codes, and real-time sensor information.The system allows users to access detailed diagnostic reports, view vehicle performance trends, and schedule maintenance appointments directly through the app. The app provides features like fault code explanation, maintenance history tracking, and a database of recommended repair services or mechanic workshops nearby. It also supports user feedback and ratings for mechanics, ensuring a trustworthy repair experience. With the integration of GPS, the app can help users find nearby service centres and provide turn-by-turn directions.
