Abstract
This research aims to examine the effectiveness of code review practices in enhancing software quality. A cohort of developers participating in the study systematically evaluates source code to identify defects, enhance readability, and ensure adherence to established coding standards. The study presents an in-depth analysis of the impact of code reviews on defect detection, defect prevention, and code maintainability, complemented by a comprehensive review of existing literature in the domains of code review and software quality. The results show that code review is a very powerful tool for raising the caliber of software. The study shows that code review significantly lowers software flaws and improves longterm maintainability by combining findings from several empirical investigations and experimental assessmentAdditionally, it is essential for matching the software product to user needs, which improves customer happiness. This study initiates code review as an important quality assurance technique in the software development lifecycle. Findings indicate that methodical code review can increase customer satisfaction and product quality while creating insightful information for software engineering teams. This study shall develop the importance of code review as a critical step in development thereby championing its acceptance as a routine practice in the industry.
