Abstract
This paper presents a comprehensive framework for implementing checkpoint-based global snapshot compilation in mobile distributed systems. The proposed approach integrates Mobile Support Station (MSS)-coordinated checkpointing with lightweight incremental snapshots and message logging to enable efficient global state capture and reliable rollback recovery. The protocol addresses critical challenges in mobile environments including frequent disconnections, limited device resources, and unstable wireless connectivity. Through hierarchical MSS coordination, the framework offloads computational and storage burdens from resource-constrained mobile hosts while maintaining causal consistency across the distributed system. Performance analysis demonstrates substantial improvements in scalability, recovery time, and energy efficiency compared to existing methodologies. The protocol is particularly suited for industrial applications in Internet of Things (IoT), autonomous transportation systems, and edge computing infrastructures.
