Abstract
AbstractThis study investigates the complex challenges faced by educators in todays academic landscape, particularly those arising from limited subject-specific preparation, and highlights global initiatives aimed at enhancing teacher well-being and productivity through strategies such as peer collaboration, mentorship, professional development, stress and time management training, and innovative teaching methods. Focusing on Technology and Livelihood Education (TLE) teachers at Malapag High School in Carmen, Cotabato Division, the research employed a descriptive correlational design using standardized survey questionnaires completed by 100 permanently employed teachers with at least three years of experience. Findings revealed widespread use of coping strategiesincluding time management, academic advice and mentoring, appraisal-focused, emotion-focused, and occupation-focused approachesas well as high levels of productivity in classroom management, coaching, and ancillary responsibilities. A significant positive correlation was found between coping mechanisms and productivity, with time management, appraisal-focused, and occupation-focused strategies notably enhancing performance, while academic advice and mentoring and emotion-focused strategies showed no significant effect. The study concludes that TLE teachers actively apply coping strategies that are closely tied to their overall productivity. Keywords: Coping Mechanisms, Teacher Productivity, TLE Teachers, Descriptive Correlational, Educational System, Philippines
