Abstract
As V2V communication becomes more prevalent in modern vehicles, ensuring energy efficiency has emerged as a significant concern, especially with the adoption of 5G networks. This project focuses on reducing energy consumption in V2V systems by implementing AI-based transmission power control algorithms. Simulations were carried out using NS-3 and OMNeT++ to observe energy usage patterns under various traffic scenarios. Key factors such as node mobility, packet delivery, and power variation were analyzed in detail. The results showed that adaptive power management could reduce overall energy consumption by approximately 26% without compromising communication reliability. These findings highlight the importance of integrating energy-aware strategies into future vehicular networks
