Abstract
Evaporative cooling operates on the same principle as the human body's natural cooling mechanismwhen sweat evaporates, it removes heat and lowers skin temperature. This method of cooling requires minimal energy input, making it ideal for applications where reducing both high temperatures and energy usage is essential. It offers an energy-efficient solution, especially in industrial and commercial environments, where excessive indoor heat can negatively impact worker comfort, productivity, and performance. Such conditions may also lead to an increase in operational errors and workplace accidents. Various evaporative cooling systems are currently used in sectors like poultry farming, horticulture, swine production, and dairy operations. These systems include in-duct direct evaporative cooling, exhaust air evaporative cooling, indirect evaporative cooling, and direct air evaporative cooling. This paper explores and compares different evaporative cooling technologies.
