Abstract
The File Security Manager is an advanced Python-based security application designed to provide real-time file monitoring, automated threat detection, and system protection. By integrating VirusTotal API for malware analysis, local file integrity checks, and sandbox execution, this tool enhances system security while maintaining file integrity.The system features continuous file monitoring, tracking changes in critical directories and detecting suspicious modifications. Files are categorized based on risk levels, with automatic sandbox deployment for high-risk files, ensuring safe execution in an isolated environment. The quarantine system securely isolates detected threats, allowing users to restore, whitelist, or remove flagged files.A modern PyQt6-based graphical user interface (GUI) provides an intuitive experience, offering real-time system status updates, smart notifications, advanced filtering, and file management tools. The File Security Manager operates autonomously with minimal user intervention, ensuring efficient and transparent system security while maintaining low resource consumption.This solution improves upon traditional antivirus software by offering real-time transparency, deeper user control, customizable automation, and enhanced sandbox visualization, making it an ideal security companion for proactive threat management.
