Abstract
This study investigates the financial impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) within Indias industrial sector during the postpandemic phase. The outbreak presented significant challenges, including demand fluctuations, disrupted supply chains, workforce displacement, and severe liquidity constraints, affecting over 60 million micro and small enterprises (MSMEs) across the country. Employing a mixed-methods approach that combines quantitative financial ratio analysis with qualitative case studies, the research examines the financial performance of MSMEs from the fiscal years 202021 through 202324. Additionally, it evaluates the role and effectiveness of government support measures such as the Emergency Credit Line Guarantee Scheme (ECLGS), the Fund of Funds for MSMEs, and the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiatives. The results indicate a moderate financial rebound, notably among enterprises that embraced digital technologies and implemented strong management practices. The paper concludes by offering policy suggestions aimed at promoting resilient, inclusive, and sustainable development of MSMEs in the changing economic environment.
