Abstract
Fingerprint attendance systems are the most careful and efficient ways for identifying individuals during their educational and professional activities. The biometric attendance system introduced here is based on fingerprint identification for continuous attendance recording. Its uniqueness relieves proxy attendance and human error attendant to attendance systems. In implementing this solution, a fingerprint scanner is interfaced to a microcontroller and a backend database that automates the process of attendance recording. Promise potential levels of speed and accuracy offer solid replaceability to conventional attendance recording systems.
