Abstract
The investment fund industry is undergoing profound change, driven by technological advances, changing investor preferences, regulatory reforms and increasing financial literacy. This article examines the future prospects of the investment fund sector, focusing on the key trends that are reshaping the industry landscape. It analyses the role of digital platforms, passive investment strategies, personalised financial advice and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) considerations in influencing fund management and investor behaviour. The study also analyses the impact of political changes and global economic shifts on the Indian and global mutual fund market. By identifying growth opportunities and emerging challenges, this article provides strategic insights for fund managers, policy makers and investors seeking to navigate and capitalise on the dynamic future of the mutual fund industry
