Abstract

The exponential growth of educational and instructional videos, widely available on platforms like YouTube, presents an unparalleled opportunity for global knowledge dissemination and flexible skill development. However, the inherent passivity of consuming these video resources poses a significant pedagogical challenge. Learners, while receiving abundant visual and auditory information, frequently encounter difficulties in bridging the critical cognitive and practical gap between observing a demonstrated concept or skill and actively internalizing, applying, or replicating it. This fundamental disconnect often results in suboptimal knowledge retention, limited transfer of learning to real-world scenarios, and a less profound, often superficial, understanding of the subject matter, hindering true mastery. This paper introduces a novel and transformative web-based platform meticulously engineered to fundamentally revolutionize how individuals interact with and learn from online video tutorials. Our innovative methodological approach centers on seamlessly transforming conventional, linear YouTube video content into dynamic, highly interactive practice environments. By requiring nothing more than the simple input of a YouTube video URL, the platform intelligently processes the video's context and content to dynamically generate a bespoke, contextually relevant, and interactive digital workspace. This workspace is designed to appear in real-time alongside the video player, directly mirroring the functionalities, tools, and processes being explicitly demonstrated within the video itself. This design philosophy profoundly empowers learners, shifting them from passive observers to active participants in their educational journey. Within this integrated environment, users are enabled to directly engage with the material in a tangible, hands-on manner. This includes performing the very actions, manipulating the precise elements, or simulating the specific procedures explained by the instructor in the video, all synchronized in real-time. The core objective of this paradigm shift is to transcend the limitations of traditional passive observation, thereby actively fostering deeper cognitive processing, significantly accelerating practical skill acquisition, and solidifying long-term knowledge retention through direct application
