Abstract
The multifaceted issues of the twenty-first century such as social injustice, climate change, worldwide health crisis and ethical issues surrounding artificial intelligence (AI) require more than a standard academic discipline. This chapter examines how multidisciplinary creativity will advance just, sustainable and resilient futures. It provides international case studies in the fields such as health technology, sustainable urban development, and circular economy projects, discusses the theoretical basis of multidisciplinary design and specifies the factors that facilitate or hinder collaborative innovation. The chapter concludes that the future of the discussion should be designed through the consideration of various fields, values, and ways of knowing, which should be discussed and co-created together in order to design the future.
