Abstract
AbstractThe study explored the relationship between interpersonal relationship and teamwork attitude of teachers in public elementary schools of Davao del Norte City Division. Also, it investigated the association of the involved variables and the domains of interpersonal relationship that significantly influence the teamwork attitude of teachers. With the use of probability sampling, 175 public elementary teachers were selected as the respondents. Utilizing the descriptive-correlational survey method, the data collated were analyzed through the use of Mean, Product-Moment correlation and Regression Analysis. Results revealed that there was a high interpersonal relationship and a high teamwork attitude of teachers. Furthermore, there was a significant relationship between interpersonal relationship and a high teamwork attitude of teachers Moreover, all domains of interpersonal relationship, namely, assertion of needs, bidirectional communication, conflict, disclosure and interpersonal closeness, and emotional experience and expression were found to have significantly influenced the teamwork attitude of teachers. Based on the findings, it was further suggested that higher officials in the Department of Education and school heads may work collaboratively in crafting programs that would strengthen the interpersonal relationship of teachers leading to an increased teamwork attitude among teachers.
