INVESTMENT PREFERENCES OF WOMEN INVESTORS- A STUDY BASED ON KOLKATA

Abstract
Study focuses on preferences of various investment avenues by the women. The population of the study is the women of Kolkata age lies between 18 65. Convenience Sampling Method is applied to identify the respondents. The primary data are collected through a close-ended survey questionnaire on a one-to-one personal visit. Secondary data collected through authenticated websites. In the present research, 150 responses are selected after scrutiny. (Invest. Avenues: like FD, PPF, NPS, Gold, Real Estate Etc. A scale of 10 items 5-point Likert scale is Used. fixed deposits (especially around 2.0 lakhs) and life insurance (with 68% participation in affordable premium ranges).
