Abstract
The invention relates to a web-based Online Examination System designed to modernize and automate the process of conducting examinations in academic, professional, and certification environments. The system enables administrators and examiners to create, schedule, and manage examinations through a secure digital platform, while allowing students to participate remotely using authenticated access. Key features include a dynamic question bank with randomization and tagging, real-time countdown timers using WebSockets, automated grading for objective-type questions, and manual evaluation support for descriptive responses. The platform incorporates advanced analytics to deliver immediate feedback and performance insights, while maintaining the integrity of the examination process through secure login protocols, activity monitoring, and data encryption. Built on a scalable architecture using Vue.js, Node.js, PostgreSQL, and real-time technologies, the system ensures reliable, efficient, andaccessible.
