Abstract
This Project presents a POSTURE DETECTION AND ALERT SYSTEM the utilizes computer vision technologies, OpenCV, and MediaPipe to analyze the human posture. The system captures the video input from a webcam or a camera and then MediaPipe will identify the key landmarks on the human body. By processing this information with OpenCV, the system assesses the posture quality and provides feedbacks to the user. This feedbacks allow the user to make immediate adjustments. This project aims to promote better posture habits and raise awareness of ergonomic health by providing an accessible tool for posture correction. The system can be used in various settings, from office to home environments, to enhance comfort while reducing the risk of posture related health issues. This Posture Detection is system is designed to be versatile and can be used in various settings, from office work stations to home environments. Its user friendly and aims to foster better posture habits, there by reducing the risk of posture related health issues. By combining the properties of OpenCV and MediaPipe, this project offers an accessible and user friendly tool for promoting better ergonomic health, improving the wellbeing and comfort of users in their daily life.
