Abstract
This paper deals with the separation of oil andwater to find out the better solution for oilrecovery from the water surface mixture EmpressOil spill to produce oil free water. Also, it dealswith the fabrication of mechanical equipment toseparate oil from the water. Oil and waterseparator is mechanical equipment, which is usedin the environment pollution control from oilspillage. Oil separator helps in removing the oilyfrom the mixing surface leaked water. Byremoving the oil from industry mixture water, itbecomes free of oil pollution. This is mainly dueto acrylic material used in the oil separator. Thisoil separator can be used in the effluent treatmentplant. This paper consists of construction,fabrication details, assembly, working andapplications of oil and water separator. There isthe different method to remove the oil form thewater but disc type oil skimmer is mostly used.
