Abstract
This paper presents the simulation and performance analysis of an on-grid solar power plant designed for domestic energy consumption using MATLABSimulink. The study focuses on the integration of photovoltaic (PV) systems with the utility grid to supply residential loads efficiently. A comprehensive model of the solar PV array, DC-DC boost converter, MPPT controller, and grid-tied inverter is developed to simulate the power flow and system dynamics. The simulation examines system behavior under varying solar irradiance and temperature conditions, ensuring maximum power extraction through the implementation of the Perturb and Observe (P&O) MPPT algorithm. Grid synchronization and power quality parameters are also analyzed to ensure seamless energy exchange with the utility grid. The results confirm the feasibility and efficiency of on-grid solar systems for household applications, highlighting the potential of reducing dependency on conventional grid power while contributing to sustainable energy solutions.
