Abstract

Noise pollution is a pervasive environmental issue, especially in urban areas where vehicle density and traffic congestion are high. Among various contributors, excessive vehicle honking stands out as a significant and avoidable source of noise. Prolonged exposure to such noise not only impacts human health by causing stress, hearing loss, and cardiovascular diseases but also deteriorates the overall quality of urban life. Despite regulatory measures, controlling honking-related noise pollution remains a challenge due to limited data accessibility and lack of effective monitoring systems. This project aims to address these challenges through an innovative, AIML-based approach that eliminates the need for lot devices. By leveraging publicly available datasets, the project focuses on cost-effective and scalable solutions to analyze and mitigate honking-related noise pollution. The methodology includes collecting and preprocessing extensive noise datasets, training machine learning models to identify patterns and trends, and visualizing the results using interactive dashboards. These visualizations highlight high-noise areas, provide predictive insights, and enable data-driven decision-making for urban planners and policymakers.Furthermore, the project incorporates advanced data visualization techniques, including heatmaps, graphs, and charts, to engage stakeholders and promote public awareness. The outcomes include a comprehensive understanding of noise pollution dynamics, identification of high-risk zones, and actionable recommendations for reducing honking behaviours. The interactive dashboards not only serve as a decision-support tool but also empower citizens to participate in noise mitigation efforts actively.By addressing the issue of honking in a targeted and innovative manner, this project contributes to broader environmental goals of sustainable urban development and enhanced liveability. The findings and methodologies can also be extended to tackle other forms of noise pollution, paving the way for aquieter and healthier environment for all.
