Abstract
Artificial Intelligence (AI) has emerged as a transformative technology in the healthcare sector, offering innovative solutions in diagnostics, treatment, drug discovery, and patient care. Through tools like Machine Learning (ML), Deep Learning (DL), and Natural Language Processing (NLP), AI systems can process massive volumes of clinical data to detect patterns, recommend treatments, and automate routine tasks. While AI-driven innovations improve efficiency, accuracy, and accessibility, their integration into real-world clinical environments still faces ethical, technical, and regulatory challenges. This paper presents an in-depth analysis of the applications, advantages, limitations, and future prospects of AI in the medical domain.Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming the medical field by enabling faster, more accurate, and data-driven healthcare solutions. Through technologies like machine learning, deep learning, and natural language processing, AI enhances diagnostics, treatment planning, drug discovery, and hospital management. In diagnostics, AI-powered systems interpret medical images such as X-rays and MRIs with precision often comparable to expert physicians. In drug development, AI shortens research timelines by predicting molecular interactions and identifying effective compounds. Personalized medicine, another major advancement, uses AI to tailor treatment plans based on individual genetic and clinical data. Additionally, AI supports robotic surgeries, automates administrative tasks, and improves telemedicine and remote monitoring. However, challenges such as data privacy, algorithmic bias, and ethical concerns must be addressed to ensure safe integration. The lack of transparency in AI decision-making (black-box problem) and the need for regulatory oversight are also critical issues. This paper explores the wide-ranging applications, benefits, and limitations of AI in modern healthcare. With continued innovation and responsible implementation, AI has the potential to enhance patient outcomes, reduce costs, and revolutionize global medical practice.
