Abstract
The Internet of Things (IoT) is undergoing a profound transformation, moving beyond traditional analog sensing to embrace sophisticated smart electronic interfaces. This report explores this evolution, emphasizing the critical role of symbiotic hardware-software co-design in achieving high-fidelity data acquisition and processing within contemporary IoT ecosystems. It delves into the foundational concepts of smart interfaces, analyzes the limitations of conventional sensing methods, and highlights advanced signal processing techniques, including sensor fusion and edge artificial intelligence.
