Abstract
Abstract This study disinters the experiences, coping mechanisms used, and lessons learned from the experiences of elementary school teachers on challenges in making every minute in the classroom count. A qualitative approach to researching the phenomenological experiences of six (6) elementary school teachers from Bunawan District, Division of Davao City, was used. The challenges of teachers in making every minute in the classroom count were as follows; managing diverse learning needs, addressing behavioral issues in large classrooms and coping with limited resources. In terms of the coping mechanisms of teachers on the challenges encountered, they did it by establishing consistent routines and procedures, implementing time-efficient instructional practices and assigning classroom responsibilities to students. Finally, the lessons learned from the experiences of elementary school teachers were the following: prioritization of essential content and learning, collaboration and community engagement, and finally, emphasis on scaffolding and differentiation. This study emphasized the necessity for educators to adapt their teaching strategies in making every minute in the classroom count, focusing on creativity and collaboration to maintain effective learning outcomes. The findings highlight the importance of prioritizing core content and fostering community engagement to ensure that all students receive a meaningful and differentiated educational experience.
