Belonging to the Meliaceae family, neem is recognized for its fast growth, resilience, and ability to thrive in various soil types, making it an essential species in agroforestry and reforestation efforts. The neem tree can grow up to 15-20 meters in height and is characterized by its dense foliage of compound leaves, which are dark green and glossy. Its flowers are small, white to yellow in color, and are arranged in clusters. The fruit is a small, oval drupe containing seeds that are rich in oil.Neem is highly valued for its medicinal properties and has been utilized in traditional medicine for centuries.
