Abstract
AbstractThe current study was set evaluate whether professional commitment significantly moderates the interaction between lifestyle behavior and coping mechanism of teachers in post disaster. In this study, the researcher selected the 165 public school teachers in District 1, Davao City as the respondents of the study. Stratified random sampling technique was utilized in the selection of the respondents. Non-experimental quantitative research design using descriptive-correlational method was employed. The data collected were subjected on the following statistical tools: Mean, Pearson Moment Product Correlation, and Heirarchical Regression Analysis. Descriptive analysis showed that lifestyle behavior, coping mechanism, and professional commitment of teachers in post disaster were described as extensive. Further, correlation analysis demonstrated that there is significant relationship between lifestyle behavior and coping mechanism of teachers when moderated by professional commitment in post disaster. Evidently, heirarchical regression analysis proved that professional commitment significantly moderates the interaction between lifestyle behavior and coping mechanism of teachers in post disaster. In other words, professional commitment is a significant moderator on the lifestyle behavior and coping mechanism of teachers.
