Abstract
AbstractThis research paper explores Franz Kafkas famous novella The Metamorphosis framework. Kafka tells the story of Gregor Samsa, a traveling salesman who wakes up one morning to discover that he has transformed into a giant insect. This strange event sets the stage for exploring deep and meaningful themes like alienation, identity, family duty, societal expectations, and human worth.The paper begins by providing background on Franz Kafkas life, including his family relationships, career, and personal struggles, many of which directly influenced the story. It then explains the main themes and ideas that Kafka may have intended to share through The Metamorphosis. Finally, it examines the literary techniques Kafka usedlike symbolism, irony, surrealism, and imageryto create a powerful and lasting emotional effect
