Abstract
This comprehensive review delves into the multifaceted chemistry of carboxylic acids, focusing on their synthesis, properties, reactivity, and diverse applications. Beginning with an overview of the methods for carboxylic acid synthesis, including traditional and modern approaches, the review highlights the importance of these compounds as versatile building blocks in organic synthesis. Furthermore, it explores the unique properties of carboxylic acids, such as acidity, polarity, and solubility, which govern their reactivity and functional group transformations.
