Abstract
This article provides an in-depth analysis of the theoretical and methodological foundations of regional economic specialization. It revisits the concept in the context of modern globalization and the digital economy. Based on classical and contemporary economic theories, the study explores the relationship between regional specialization and factors such as efficiency, competitiveness, resource utilization, and innovation dynamics. Practical approaches to strategic regional specialization are discussed using Uzbekistan as a case study.
